Book folded with a black leather binding with gold clasp and mounted on a black passe-partout; black framework made of wood with pure gold borders inside |
| Description: |
A black golden edged framework encloses the black passe-partout on which the old hymnbook has been mounted. The middle pages of the book have been folded into a longitudinal and two lateral pieces resulting in a form of a cross as a whole. In times when hardly anyone dares to hang up a cross this object in particular gives the viewer the opportunity to deal with the Church and the Christian faith in a quiet and very personal manner. |
